A typhoon had made landfall on Japan's main island while I was in Kyoto, but since I was headed west, I got to Osaka and Hiroshima after it had already passed there. However, returning to Tokyo meant I caught the stagnant end of the storm, and it rained pretty much constantly in those last few days.
